My First Royal

My first (and so far only) Royal Straight Flush came on 14th January 2005 at Pokerroom.com. I was playing on a $0.25/0.5 limit table at the time. This is how the hand played out:

I held Ad Td on the Button.

There were 4 calls, new poster checked as did the big blind. (There was no small blind).

Flop: 5s Qd Kd

BB checked, UTG bet, UTG+1 raised, MP1 called, MP2 raised, MP3 folded, CO folded, I called, BB folded, UTG called, UTG+1 called.

Turn: Jd

UTG bet, UTG+1 folded, MP1 called, MP2 called, I raised, Everyone called.

River: 7D

Everyone checks to me. I bet, UTG called, MP1 & MP2 folded.

I take pot of $10 (20BB).

The nice thing about Pokerroom.com is that they pay out a bonus of 100 x the small bet if you get a Royal. They therefore paid me an extra $25 on top of what I won in the hand. Sweet!
